HYDRAULIC SIDE ACTING GRIPS

BISS side acting hydraulic grips are intended for both static and dynamic testing applications. Hydraulically activated grips ensures uniform and axially aligned gripping of both flat and round test coupons as well as to hold test fixtures. These advanced grips maintain a constant clamping force on the specimen that acts perpendicular to the direction of testing and is independent of tensile loading.

Clamping force in the grips is set by means of pressure regulating valve on the service manifold. Gripping is activated from the operator touch screen panel. Pressure line accumulators and non- return valve ensure retention of gripping force in the event of power outage.
