  • A universal testing machine is a machine that allows the user to measure mechanical properties like tensile strength, compressive strength, fracture etc. of materials by applying load on the specimens. Biss India is a manufacturer of universal testing machines across a wide range of force ratings allowing users to test materials ranging from biological tissues to metals and composites.
  • How do I know which UTM is best for my application ?
  • Deciding on a UTM can be challenging task at times. Many factors like material composition, force rating, test standards, material elongation etc can influence the decision.   • Can I perform testing at high temperatures with Biss systems ?
  • Absolutely yes. Our systems are compatible with a wide range of furnaces and chambers with temperatures ranging from 200°C to 2000ºC. You can comfortably perform multiple types of tests like tensile, compression, three point bend, low cycle fatigue, fracture mechanics etc. at elevated temperatures using Biss systems.
  • Can I use Biss systems for biomedical testing?
  • Biomedical testing is a vast field which includes testing of medical consumables, fabrics, surgical tools, implants etc. Biss offers systems that can cater to these domains with 6800 series and 3400 series electromechanical frames for testing of sutures, syringes, needles etc. Biss 7050 series dynamic systems are best for fatigue testing of implants with their wide fixture availability.   • On-site training is provided to all our customers during installation of anBiss system.
